Lab 1 Practice - Preparation for Graded Lab

• For lab preparation we will work with tutorial application (in course shared files).

• Part I: Answer the following questions. Document your answers and all steps you performed to find a solution.
  • Find the name of the Salesman who has sold products to Customer Captain Cook's Surfing School in Monaco
  • Read about Numeric Search option on page 34 of the QlikViewTutorial.pdf (in Shared Files) to find countries with polulation over 1000 millions
  • Find countries with area less than 100 km.sq
  • Find country with maximal amount of sales in January 2008.
  • What countries worked with Customer Atlantic Marketing and in what years? Find names of all Salesman who worked with this Customer.
  • Add frequencies to the List Box City on Sales Sheet (read page 53). Find the city with most Customers.
  • Add statistics box to List Box Sales on Sales Sheet (read page 58). Find the total amount of sales for this company. Find the Country, name of the Salesman and Customer with the biggest purchase (Hint: Click on function Max)
  • Find the Country, Customer and name of the Salesman who worked on January 1 for each year. Pay attention, you will only receive results for 2010 and 2011.
  • What are five Countries with most sales in December 2011. Find the Customer with most Sales in December 2011.

• Part II: In this part you will create your own question and exchange it with the student sitting next to you. I will collect your questions and answers for this part.
