"Throughout my time at Widener, Women in Computing club really gave me an appreciation for being an advocate for other women in computing. After graduating, I started my career as a developer at Vanguard where I have been able to form a great network of supportive women through groups such as their IT Women's Initiative for Leadership Success community. With Vanguard, I had the incredible opportunity to attend the Grace Hopper Celebration of Women in Computing at the end of September this year. Not only was I able to attend but I was also able to showcase some of the work I've been doing at my company's technology booth. Through the sessions I attended, I learned about different ways to get women more involved in STEM at a younger age and was able to see great work that's being done throughout the industry by talented women. Through the technology booth, I was able to share my experience in the industry with young women still in school as well as industry professionals. It was a really amazing experience made even more valuable due to Widener Women in Computing club dedication to advocating for women in computing"
